I found this sign on an AT&T store on west 5th street in Austin. The sign reads:

FOR THE COURTESY OF OUR CUSTOMERS PETS AND BICYCLES ARE NOT ALLOWED INSIDE THE STORE

This message struck me as a total failure on AT&T’s part to understand the needs of customers in downtown urban areas. Any person entering this store is a customer or potential customer. This store is in a downtown urban area made up of busy people who need any available opportunity to take doggy for a walk, including the occassional trip to the AT&T store. Finally, where is the bike rack?

For the courtesy of AT&T customers, AT&T should show more courtesy.
